UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) has brought together the health and safety policies of our seven research councils, Innovate UK and Research England under a single health and safety policy.
We will review this policy each year and publish them on this page.
Our policy requires us to comply with health and safety law as it applies to UKRI.

UKRI is reviewing its operating model to decide how we best organise ourselves to realise UKRI’s strategy, transforming tomorrow together.
The future structure and requirements of the UKRI health and safety function will be reviewed within that programme.
Until the outcomes of that programme are clear, all responsibilities and memberships that previously fell under the Head of Health and Safety, fall to UKRI’s Interim Health and Safety Lead.
