The science boards are the Science and Technology Facilities Council’s (STFC) principal scientific advisory committees, providing advice across all of STFC’s research and innovation activities. They report directly to the STFC Council.
STFC Science Board (Facilities and Laboratories)
The Science Board (Facilities and Laboratories) provides advice and guidance to STFC on:
- STFC-supported national and international multidisciplinary facilities
- the STFC National Laboratories
- related technologies, including accelerators and computing

STFC Science Board (PPAN)
Science Board (PPAN) provides STFC with strategic scientific advice on, and assessment of, the STFC (Particle Physics, Astronomy and Nuclear Physics) PPAN programme. This includes: particle astrophysics, space science and the accelerator and computational requirements of the science programmes.
