The Medical Research Council (MRC) Integrative Epidemiology Unit at the University of Bristol (MRC IEU) seeks to integrate molecular, cellular, clinical and population data to optimise the identification of causal associations between potentially modifiable exposures and health outcomes. The Unit will adopt a multidisciplinary approach to address major public health issues of relevance to the UK and global health agenda, drawing upon disciplines that extend beyond the conventional realms of epidemiology, to enhance causal and translational epidemiology.
