Joint Funders Group

The Joint Funders Group (JFG) was established in 2021. The group helps funders to explore a shared approach towards a narrative CV.

The Royal Society’s Résumé for Researchers (R4R)-like narrative CV approach will help us ensure we are attracting and retaining the full range of the most promising research and innovation talent. This will enable the diverse research and innovation workforce to demonstrate:

  • who they are as individuals
  • how they contribute to teams and the wider research and innovation endeavour.

In doing so it will transform who and what is visible and valued, beyond grant and publication records.

The group is sharing learning and best practice to help others engage with the narrative CV and inform aligned approaches wherever possible.

Read about the ambitions of this collective effort in the joint funders statement.

Résumé Library

The Joint Funders Group (JFG) has co-developed the Résumé Resources Library for funders to host co-created resources for supporting the research and innovation community on their journeys in adopting the R4RI-like narrative CVs. This includes applicant and reviewer guidance, training resources, and evidence and statistics.
