Our Strategic Advisory Teams (SAT) and Groups help develop our Theme strategy. It is essential that they contain business experts as well as academic experts.
The role of our strategic advisory teams is to:
- alert us to new and emerging research and training opportunities, including international opportunities
- advise us on the balance between research and training activities
- advise us on areas or issues that need further exploration or investigation
- develop input on specific topics as requested by our Chief Executive.
We hold regular meetings in different programme areas together with conferences to bring strategic advisory teams from all areas together. We appoint members for one year but aim to have some continuity in teams from one year to the next.
Get involved
Becoming a member of a SAT can help you gain insight into our strategy and decision-making, as well as opportunities to network with and meet other influential people in academia and industry and EPSRC staff.
If you are interested in getting involved with one of our advisory teams, you can get further information on a specific SAT or group. The recruitment process for advisory team members is generally annual and is competitive.
