Details

These reports were commissioned as a part of Warwick City of Culture Project funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC).

The initial report is informed by strong and robust data, building on the innovative approach to adopted within the Coventry UK City of Culture 2021 project.

Towards a research-informed approach review

Towards a research-informed approach review promotes a research-led approach to how culture might lead to impacts that address the specific needs of a place and its diverse communities.  A key driver for the UK City of Culture programme is to invest in places that have a clear ambition and evidenced plan for culture-led city transformation.

Future trend series

The future trend series discusses ways of thinking about the value of culture:

  • the importance of research in understanding the place of culture in everyday lives, its impact on local people, society, economy and wellbeing and prosperity at large
  • how this research-informed approach connects with the needs of policymaking

The reports offer insights and data that can benefit and inform the UK City of Culture and other place-based cultural investments, mega-events and initiatives.
