The UK Research and Innovation Future Flight Challenge, delivered by Innovate UK and the Economic and Social Research Council, is driving innovation across the aviation ecosystem to position the UK as a global leader in advanced solutions.

This report details the findings of extensive survey work undertaken by YouGov, as part of the Future Flight Challenge Social Sciences Research Programme, led by the University of Birmingham.

The report describes the current levels of understanding amongst the UK public of future flight technologies, including:

  • their general awareness
  • their views on potential benefits and drawbacks
  • development priorities
  • future scenarios for adoption of future flight technologies and services
