The UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) Technology Missions Fund is supporting the commercialisation, deployment and adoption of the UK’s critical technologies of tomorrow. Technology Missions are supporting advancements in artificial intelligence (AI), engineering biology, future telecommunications and quantum technologies.

In partnership with the Department of Science, Innovation and Technology and wider government departments, we are bringing together businesses and world-leading researchers through strategically driven programmes across all stages of technology development, from early emergence through to adoption and diffusion. We are helping to build the right skills and leadership to ensure the UK remains a global tech leader, whilst embedding responsible research and innovation across all our investments.

This publication highlights the power of mission-led investments to tackle big global challenges across our environment and health, supporting resilience and productivity, in a responsible and sustainable way. It showcases a range of people and projects supported through this fund from diverse industries and sectors right across the UK, who are developing new technologies to help improve lives and grow the UK economy.
