This think piece was commissioned by UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) as part of its review of youth engagement with research and innovation. It shares reflections and ideas to help support funders and policymakers who are interested in the issues of diversity and inclusion in relation to informal science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) learning provision in the UK.

The think piece specifically foregrounds issues of equity and social justice in relation to young people and minoritised communities.
