Details

This strategy outlines the focus and priorities for public engagement funded or undertaken by STFC, and is of particular interest to:

  • potential applicants to the STFC public engagement funding opportunities, who will need to reflect its content in their applications
  • existing STFC public engagement grant holders seeking to align with these refreshed priorities
  • STFC staff and funded researchers
  • public engagement professionals within and external to STFC and UKRI
  • scientists, researchers and innovators who include public engagement within their practice

The strategy delivers our vision for a society in which all people feel able to engage with STEM research and innovation and will be delivered through the following aims:

  • celebrating STFC science, technology people and careers
  • working in partnerships
  • building capacity
  • improving our connections with diverse audiences
  • delivering high-quality public engagement activities and evaluating outcomes

A refreshed public evaluation framework will be shared in early 2025.
