Details

The aim of the ESRC policy fellowship scheme was to facilitate mobility at the nexus between research and policy to ensure that:

  • policymakers had access to cutting-edge research and data
  • researchers gained insight and experience from working in a non-academic but research related policy environment

The main finding of this early-stage evaluation is that that the policy fellowship scheme has been very successful and has achieved and exceeded its original ambitions.

It is hope that the evidence and insights provided in this report will be used to support future cohorts of policy fellows, while contributing to longer-term strategic thinking.
