The Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) commissioned Professor John Goodwin (University of Leicester) to prepare an evidence synthesis. The synthesis summarises the key outcomes and recommendations that have emerged from the commissioned reports, scoping studies, consultations and guidelines that have informed our new approach to supporting research skills training and capacity building in the social sciences.
