Details

The Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) has commissioned RAND Europe to evaluate the Productivity Institute Programme (PIP).

The aim of the evaluation is to understand the extent to which, and how, PIP has fulfilled its objectives, and to inform future research investment priorities and strategy relating to productivity.

The purpose of the evaluation framework is to develop a detailed evaluation approach. This includes data collection and analysis methods, to provide the basis for a robust impact and process evaluation to be conducted over subsequent phases.

The baseline assessment includes both quantitative and qualitative indicators of the nature and extent of productivity research and related knowledge among research, policy and business stakeholders prior to the launch of PIP, to enable subsequent analysis of the impact of the programme.
