Details
The Productivity Institute Programme (PIP) began in 2019 through an investment of £40 million from the UK Research and Innovation Strategic Priorities Fund to address the UK’s productivity challenges.
The Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) commissioned RAND Europe and Frontier Economics to evaluate the PIP as set out in the evaluation framework and baseline report.
This report presents phase three of the evaluation, a process evaluation looking at the newly established thematic investments and provides an early impact assessment for The Productivity Institute and the Programme on Innovation and Diffusion.
The evaluation is structured around an evaluation framework, including a set of process evaluation questions and impact evaluation questions structured around three areas:
- knowledge impacts
- policy impacts
- business impacts
