Details

In order for the potential of artificial intelligence (AI) and software to be realised in biomedical research and innovation and in healthcare, it is essential that we work in a responsible way.

We recognise that there can be complex and potentially unanticipated requirements, yet it is important to understand the relevant risks and consider strategies to mitigate these.

This interim guidance is aimed at those who are seeking, and in receipt of, MRC funding for the development of software and AI models. It outlines the principles that as a community we should strive towards, and signposts relevant resources and guidance to help meet these.
