The MtF programme supports early-stage, basic research with the goal of delivering transformative new knowledge that can be used to build new and more competitive manufacturing activities in the UK.

This report assesses the impact of the programme and provides a bespoke economic model to demonstrate the value of the £975 million investment between 2005 and 2020. It captures examples of the practical impacts of MtF projects across a range of high value technology areas.
