Following the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic in early 2020, UKRI announced a rapid research funding opportunity to address the urgent issues raised by the crisis. The funding opportunity was open to all UKRI’s research community and over £554 million was awarded via research grants.
This report highlights emerging impacts from social science research projects funded through the UKRI response to COVID-19 and details the convening role that ESRC played to facilitate engagement between the research and relevant users across government and industry.
