EPSRC commissioned a neuro-inclusion audit to ensure we can provide a supportive and inclusive environment for people with neurodivergence, for instance diagnosed with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), autism spectrum condition, dyslexia, dyspraxia or dyscalculia.

Independent auditor Mark Charlesworth observed four community engagement workshops and two strategic advisory meetings, as well as reviewing the presentation material. The audit identified the elements that are neuro-inclusive and those that impair neuro-inclusion.

The audit report includes:

  • key recommendations
  • an outline of common difficulties and strengths faced by people with neurodivergence
  • guidance for meetings and events
  • neuro-inclusive meeting and event checklist
