Creative industries are a vital part of the UK economy and enjoy a global reputation.

Businesses range from advertising and crafts to performing arts and video games. They employ around 1.7 million people: one in 20 of the UK workforce.

Digital technologies will be at the heart of growth in the creative industries, estimated at an additional £5 billion to the UK economy. We expect to invest more than £30 million in support of creative businesses through our strategy.
