UKRI Trusted Research and Innovation Programme Director
Dr Mark Gaskarth provides senior strategic leadership for UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) on trusted research and innovation.
Trusted research and innovation is the protection of the UK’s intellectual property, sensitive research, people, and infrastructure from potential theft, misuse, and exploitation.
During his time at the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC), Mark has held the following roles:
- Head of Theme for Resilience and Security
- Head of Theme for Digital Security and Resilience
- Head of Theme for Digital Twinning
- Joint Head of Business Engagement
- Head of Robotics and Autonomous Systems
In addition, and as part of his role, Mark has been one of EPSRC’s lead Heads of Theme for trusted research.
Mark has much experience of leading across organisational boundaries, and in collaborative and partnership settings.
