Associate Director, Research Environment, Research England
Catriona Firth is Associate Director, Research Environment at Research England.
Catriona leads the People, Culture and Environment team at Research England, providing strategic leadership of Research England’s work aimed at supporting a thriving, dynamic, diverse and inclusive environment for research within English universities.
From 2021 to 2023, she led the Future Research Assessment Programme.
She is a member of the Global Research Council Working Group on Responsible Research Assessment and sits on the Research Excellence Framework 2029 Steering Group.
Prior to joining Research England, she worked in a number of UK universities in academic and research professional roles.
