Now open for the third round for applications from UKRI funded doctoral students until 15 December 2020, the UK-Canada Globalink doctoral exchange scheme will support travel, living and research costs for the students in their chosen field of study. This annual funding supports research activity between 2022 and 2025.
You can apply for funding for proof-of-concept work that follows up STFC-funded research and shows how it could be turned into a potential commercial application. Support is available for 80% of the full economic costs of projects with a total value of £110,000 and lasting up to 12 months.
You can apply for funding to work with industry or other non-academic partners to turn STFC-funded research into commercial products and services.
Support of up to £360,000 is available for 80% of the full economic costs of projects with a total value of up to £450,000 and lasting up to 36 months.
Claim back travel and subsistence costs when visiting an astronomy telescope. The visit must be for competitively awarded science observation time.
You must be a UK-based researcher at an eligible UK institution.
You must not already hold or have access to a travel grant from the Panel for the Allocation of Telescope Time (PATT).
