ESRC responsive mode: secondary data analysis round two

Individuals and research teams can apply for funding to support high-impact, policy- and practitioner-relevant research through deeper exploitation of existing data resources from any disciplines and on any topics in ESRC’s remit.

You must be based at a UK research organisation eligible for ESRC funding.

ESRC responsive mode: UKRI-SBE lead agency opportunity round two

The UKRI-SBE lead agency funding opportunity allows UK and US-based researchers to submit a collaborative proposal that will go through a single review process. Grants are funded through existing funding programmes at the relevant lead agency.

You must be based at a UK research organisation eligible for ESRC funding.

ESRC responsive mode: working with Brazilian researchers round two

If you are a UK-based researcher you can apply for funding to work with overseas researchers in the State of São Paulo, Brazil. Submit collaborative research proposals in any area of the social sciences within the remit of both ESRC and FAPESP.

You must be based at a UK research organisation eligible for ESRC funding.

Tackling obesity

Apply for funding to develop effective strategies to tackle overweight and obesity.

‘Tackling obesity’ is open to applications submitted to the Population and Systems Medicine Board.

You should apply through the existing funding opportunity most relevant to your science area and career stage.

Experimental medicine stage one

Apply for funding to undertake mechanistic studies in humans. Your application must include an intervention to investigate the causes, progression or treatment of human disease.

This is an ongoing funding opportunity. Stage one application rounds close every April and October.

Collaborate with researchers in Luxembourg

UKRI and FNR have signed a memorandum of understanding to enable and support applications between researchers in the UK and Luxembourg. UKRI will fund the UK component and FNR will fund the Luxembourg component of the application.

Conditions will differ depending on the funding opportunity.

Researching motor neurone disease: highlight notice

Apply for funding to research motor neurone disease (MND).

Work with Brazilian researchers: NERC FAPESP lead agency

This opportunity allows UK-based researchers and researchers in the State of São Paulo, Brazil to submit a collaborative application under existing NERC funding opportunities. This will go through a single review process.

PATT travel claim for competitively awarded observation time

Claim back travel and subsistence costs when visiting an astronomy telescope. The visit must be for competitively awarded science observation time.

You must be a UK-based researcher at an eligible UK institution.

You must not already hold or have access to a travel grant from the Panel for the Allocation of Telescope Time (PATT).
