UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) has published its annual report and accounts for the financial year 2021 to 2022.
The report, which has been laid before parliament, includes a performance report providing a summary of UKRI’s performance and finances.
It outlines:
- UKRI’s response to support the recovery from the impacts of COVID-19
- mitigating the effects of the ongoing uncertainty around the UK’s association to Horizon Europe
- the important role of research and innovation in shaping the scientific agenda of the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP26) conference in Glasgow.
Five-year strategy
UKRI has also published its first five-year strategy for 2022 to 2027. This strategy highlights the organisation’s key role in delivering on the government’s ambitions for the UK as a global leader in research and innovation.
The annual report and accounts also includes UKRI’s accountability report and financial statements for 2021 to 2022.
