Research training frameworks (RTF) and guidance explain the minimum standards we expect doctoral training award holders, research organisations (ROs), doctoral students and early career researchers in the arts and humanities to meet. These standards exist so that:
- Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC)-funded doctorates are of a high quality
- AHRC-funded researchers are given the right skills and knowledge to develop their careers, based on their individual needs
