EPSRC and the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) are hosting a networking fair.
We are inviting speakers and researchers in the field of quantum science and technology from Japan and the UK to join this online event.
There will be opportunity to:
- listen to talks from invited speakers and researchers
- ask questions
- participate in discussions
- network with researchers from the UK and Japan
- hear from both funders
We encourage future research project leaders to explore the potential for future high-quality collaboration in the field of quantum technologies.
You will also be able to opt in to share contact details to enable future networking with attendees from both countries after the event.
Pitch talk
What we’re looking for
You can present a pitch during the event if you are a researcher actively seeking research partners or collaborations between the UK and Japan.
Presenters will present a ‘two-minute pitch’ to describe their expertise and show interests of international research collaboration.
Pitches can be conducted either live, with or without slides, or pre-recorded video.
Pitch talk selection
Speakers will be selected by EPSRC and JST, with an aim to provide an overview of the diversity of quantum technologies in the UK and Japan.
The maximum number of presenters is 20.
We encourage applications from early career researchers (for example, new investigator level in the UK).
Those not selected to present can still participate.
If chosen to present, if you wish to present a slide or video, submit your presentation slide or video to EPSRC or JST by no later than close of day on 25 November 2024.
Presenters from the UK should email the EPSRC Quantum Technologies theme: quantumtechnologies@epsrc.ukri.org
Presenters from Japan should email ASPIRE JST: aspire-uk@jst.go.jp
Participants
The registration deadline for participants is 22 November 2024 3pm UK time.
Following the pitch session, attendees will have the chance to participate in a group discussion with the presenters and discuss the subject of their research.
We encourage applications from early career researchers (for example, new investigator level in the UK).
