The Minoritised Life Scientists Future Forum (MLSFF) conference is dedicated to amplifying voices across all science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) disciplines.
Supported by Wellcome and the Medical Research Council, this conference will take place at the ICC Birmingham from 31 March to 2 April 2025.
It is a space that celebrates diversity and intersectionality, welcoming individuals from a wide range of backgrounds, including but not limited to:
- ethnic minorities
- disabled individuals
- neurodiversity
- low-income or widening participation backgrounds
- mature students
- LGBTQ+
- anyone who feels they can contribute to or benefit from this space
This conference’s target audience also spans from students, including college or sixth formers, to:
- postdoctorals
- academics of all levels
- higher education professional services staff
- industry professionals
- recruiters
Our aim is to create a vibrant community of collaboration, empowerment and innovation.
This unique forum will offer over 200 hours of talks, workshops, mentoring and professional development opportunities, all aimed at building a more inclusive future for STEM.

Key highlights of the conference
Abstract submissions
Open to all students, from college, undergraduate to postgraduate, and staff members. Abstracts for poster or oral presentations should align with the Sustainable Development Goals themes selected for the conference themes and disciplines.
Submissions are encouraged from all disciplines, including interdisciplinary research.
