The workshop aims to collect evidence for the Department of Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT)’s pilot initiative to address the barriers and opportunities to data sharing.

The overall objective of this initiative is to test and understand the need for a national research cloud through a series of pilot studies. This project is called Data Infrastructure for National Infrastructure and this will be led by the Data and Analytics Facility for National Infrastructure (DAFNI) programme.

The workshops will consist of:

  • short talks
  • an overview from DSIT
  • a series of facilitated discussions

To understand the challenges and opportunities in data sharing across infrastructure systems, this workshop aims to bring together:

  • key academics
  • industry
  • government connections across infrastructure, engineering, environmental, computational and data sciences

The outcomes of this workshop will inform DSIT’s future investment case for a UK research data cloud.

We hope to see you there!
