Find the facility or resource you need, and check how to use it.
You do not always need MRC funding to use MRC facilities and resources as a researcher. Many MRC facilities and resources are also available to industry.
If you’re applying for MRC research funding
Discuss your research proposal with the facility or service you want to use before submitting your application.
Also check MRC’s guidance for applicants and guidance about existing facilities and resources to find out about:
- what to include in your application – you usually need confirmation that you can use the facility or resource, and a technical statement giving details of costs
- extra steps you need to take – for example, to use cohort studies, high-performance computing or co-funded resources such as synchrotron radiation facilities.
