Contact support services for help with Horizon Europe

As a UK applicant, help is available so you can get the most out of Horizon Europe.

National Contact Points (NCPs)

The NCPs are appointed by the UK government to give you impartial advice on Horizon Europe. Their service is free to use.

Each team member has expert knowledge in a specific area of funding. Contact your NCP expert for help with any aspect of Horizon Europe. For example:

  • choosing funding opportunities
  • finding partners
  • preparing your proposal
  • applying
  • liaising with the European Commission on the scope of projects
  • administrative procedures
  • contractual issues

UK Research Office Brussels (UKRO)

The UKRO is a subscription-based advisory service for UK universities and research organisations.

Subscribing organisations can access advice on applying for Horizon Europe funding and managing successful projects. Anyone based at the organisation can access the advice.

Research managers can also get specialist support.

Follow the steps to access this service.

  1. Check if your organisation is a subscriber.
  2. If it is, use your organisational email address to register and create an UKRO account.

Innovate UK Business Connect

Innovate UK Business Connect offers deep thematic expertise and international contacts, and its ‘Horizon Europe Hub’ provides essential information on the programme, as well as the latest news, events and webinars.

The hub is accessible to all types of organisations, including businesses, small to medium sized enterprises and academia. It is a great way to build relationships and find funding opportunities.

Innovate UK Business Growth

This is a UK network that works locally with small and medium-sized enterprises. It can help you find funding opportunities, find industry partners for your project, and increase your chances of success.

Innovate UK Business Growth can help you connect with collaborators and business partners in more than 65 countries. This is through their involvement in the Enterprise Europe Network, and their partnerships tool.

Northern Ireland Contact Point (NICP) Network

The NICP offers guidance and help for Northern Irish applicants. Each network member has expert knowledge in a specific area of funding.

Scotland regional contact point: Ann Marie Reid

There is specific guidance and help for Scottish applicants. Anne Marie is based at Scotland Enterprise.

Welsh Horizon Europe Unit

There is specific guidance and help for Welsh applicants, from the Welsh Government. Financial support is also available through their SCoRE Cymru Scheme.

European IP Helpdesk

The service gives free support to EU funding award holders on managing intellectual property.
